The World's First Commercial Brushless Doubly-Fed Generator

The Department of Engineering at the University of Cambridge created the world's first commercial Brushless Doubly-Fed Generator (BDFG), Mar 2009. It now successfully generates power for Whittle Laboratory. This project team is led by Dr Richard McMahon, and backed by the company Wind Technologies Limited.
