Vestas' Big Layoff

Vestas, the world’s biggest maker of wind turbines, announced that it was cutting 1,900 jobs maining in Denmark and Britain.

In renewable energy industry, Vestas still leads the world in terms of technical power and construction experience. SSEA technology team member Shiyi Shao once talked with some of Vestas' staff who thought the problems lie in the following two aspects:

1. the large-scale expansion in the dawn of the terrible economic climate turns into a huge burden for company;

2. the biggest investors of renewable energy, the US and Chinese governments, are inclined to give the orders to their native companies.
